The release of the new GTA is scheduled to take place in autumn 2025. There is still no final date, but most observers agree that the title appears as soon as it appears how a black hole will attract any attention.

Like a small Gallic village, a publisher has now announced that it will resist. Devolver Digital has announced on X that they will bring a game on the market on the exact same day and at exactly the same time as GTA 6.

Which publisher is there? Devolver Digital has made a name for itself in recent years by critically looking at the gaming mainstream and, above all, supporting and publishing games that could be described as own and specifically.
Titles like Enter The Gungeon, The Plucky Squire, Cult of the Lamb or Inscryption stand out optically and playfully at least partially from the game landscape and stand for a somewhat alternative approach. Which game it could be in is still unclear.
The announcement definitely fits the image of the publisher and could even be worthwhile as a marketing stunt. GTA 6 is pretty much a great success, but this does not mean that everyone will really buy the title directly for the release.
After all, there should also be people who are not too interested in the GTA series and they should hardly have any other games to choose from in the release period of the game. This could in turn be an advantage for devolvers.
