It has been clear since last Sunday: Hasan Ismaik wants to sell his shares of TSV 1860 Munich – but how seriously does he mean it this time?
Munich – Realsatire, confused to bizarre, a typical Hasan again. The reactions to the Ismaik appearance in the BR was ambiguous, in the vicinity of the TSV 1860 Munich. Most of the tenor: wait until the Investor’s intention to sell becomes a little more concrete. What does Ismaik say, also between the lines, how such a separation could be done and could reorganize in 1860? Questions about questions. We give the first answers.
Investor quake at TSV 1860 Munich: What exactly said Hasan Ismaik in the BR?
Ismaik, switched on from Abu Dhabi, explained that his Munich project had “gave fun for 14 years”. Nevertheless, he is now ready to sell his shares – if the conditions are right. “If someone is serious, they should make an offer, and then I will think about it,” said the investor in an interview with moderator Markus Othmer. The lions are “a great and strong club, in the best city in the world and in the world in the world”. Freely translated: Ismaik sees in 1860 as an international brand for which he of course wants to achieve a well -known amount.

What are Ismaik’s shares worth?
Depending on who you interview, the estimates of 0 euros (EV-HARDLINER) range over 25 million euros (has been offered by interested parties in the past) up to 100 million or more (Ismaik itself). In 2011, when the Jordanian acquired 60 percent of the shares (eleven percent voiceless), he put 18.6 million euros on the table – for an established second division club who was in 1860. The problem: the KGAA that is about is over -indebted (the EV is healthy and still belongs to the members). The KGAA, two thirds in the form of enjoyment certificates, strain 40 to 50 million euros liabilities in the form of loans near Ismaik.
How could a sale work?
Without a debt, Ismaik should be so realistic, no sale is conceivable. As a reminder: 1860 is the dino of the 3. Leaguestill does not have its own stadium, but a gigantic debt (see above). The value to be achieved with a lot of idealism feeds exclusively from the enormous radiance of the association, the history, the huge fan base and the idea of making money with it (through fan articles – or an ascent to the 1. League).
Which also forgets Ismaik: not himself, but the club has the last word in terms of potential buyers. Is it Everything about the cooperation agreement. Ismaik himself says: “I want to see the investor’s goal. If he has no plan and only wants to hold the shares, I am not ready to sell.”
Since when does Ismaik want to sell?
“I will never sell my shares!” This sentence was often heard from Ismaik, but differently than his public mantra suggest, there were always sales talks that ran in the background. Gerhard Mey, then webasto 50 percent owner, wanted to buy the shares at regional league times. It is also guaranteed that an English group of investors around ex-national goalkeeper Jens Lehmann showed concrete interest.
Swiss companies and consortia of remote islands were also positioned. Specifically, it was rare – except for the one time when you already face yourself in Frankfurt with a notary. At that time, Ismaik is said to have jumped off at short notice. And this time? Does he pull it through this time? Only one person could answer this question seriously: Ismaik itself. A request from our newspaper about time and planned financial framework. But: the poker is open, it remains exciting at 1860.
