The right violence in Saxony Gained across the board last year after numbers from the sacrificial advice centers. According to this, 328 attacks were counted, an increase of around a third (32 percent) compared to 2023. 446 people were directly affected, as the Raa Saxony association informed.
The experts speak of an “increasingly violent right of space” since 2022. In addition, young neo -Nazis would appear more uninhibited and aggressive. “The renewed significant increase in right -wing motivated violence in Saxony is worrying and the political climate, which has moved further to the right in debates and election results, is no less,” emphasized Managing Director Andrea Hübler.
Leipzig and Görlitz as focal points
More attacks were counted nationwide than in 2018. At that time, racist riots in Chemnitz ensured a strong increase. According to the figures, the most common attacks were given in 2024 in terms of the population in the city of Leipzig, the district of Görlitz as well as the cities of Chemnitz and Dresden; Very few were counted in the Vogtland and the Ore Mountains.
The statistics of the RAA Saxony also include cases that are not displayed by the police – for example because the victims fear discriminatory treatment of authorities. In the case of anti -Semitic crimes, it will not be differentiated as to whether the perpetrators act from right -wing extremists or Islamist attitudes, it said when asked. Between both there is a “essential welfare,” said Hübler. “For us, the motive that speaks from the crime is not necessarily the self -location of the perpetrator.”
