A teenager has largely destroyed his left hand after a Böller explosion. He was flown to a special clinic with the rescue helicopter.
When igniting firecrackers, a 13-year-old in the east of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania destroyed his left hand: the three middle fingers were demolished, the other two fingers were significantly destroyed, the police said. After the incident in the municipality of Ferdinandshof, the boy was treated in an ambulance and then flown to a special clinic in Berlin by rescue helicopter. A survey was not yet possible, it said.
Other children described that they would have banged Böller unattended in the area of the raft trench. The 13-year-old connected two firecrackers and then lit. Before he could throw them away, they exploded in his left hand. According to the children, it is said to be Böller Spanish origin, which he received from a friend. The criminal police are investigating in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district.
