According to participants, the collective bargaining for the public service of the federal government and municipalities can be expected at the earliest on Sunday morning. It is about income and working hours of more than 2.5 million employees in important jobs from administration to daycare centers, garbage disposal, clinics to transport companies. Negotiations are being carried out on the basis of a recommendation of arbitrators that had proposed a two -stage increase in fees in this and next year as well as more flexible working hours.
In the event of failure, there is a risk of permanent strike
At the negotiating table, the unions Verdi and DBB civil servants are sitting with the association of municipal employers’ associations VKA and the Federal Ministry of the Interior. The fourth round of the tariff talks, which has been running since Saturday morning, is also tough. Nevertheless, the course was constructive, said participants.
If there is no solution, trade unionists could initiate a pre -vote on permanent strikes.
