The Berliner Rabea Rogge could become the first German woman in space. On board a Dragon capsule and with the help of a Falcon 9 rocket by the SpaceX space company from Tech-billionaire Elon Musk, Rogge is scheduled to start from the Cape Cape Canaveral space station in the US state of Florida on the morning of April 1, 2025. However, the start could be shifted at short notice for various reasons.
So far twelve Germans in space
According to the German Aerospace Center (DLR), twelve German men have been, but not yet a German woman in space. There were several candidates and reserve room drivers, but a woman has never really flown.

Months of intensive preparation
During an expedition training on Spitzbergen, Rogge met Chun Wang a few years ago and talked to him about the cosmos, as she once told in an interview. Later she asked the billionaire if she wanted to be there on his flight. For months, the crew has been preparing for the flight with intensive training. (With material of the dp.)
