Sunita Williams will leave for earth today
NASA astronaut Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore will leave to return to Earth today, on which the whole world is eyeing. Both have been stuck on the International Space Station (ISS) for more than nine months. The nine -month journey in space will end after the return of both Astronauts. Sunita Williams, Wilmore Nick Hague, along with two other crew-9 members, are returning to the earth riding on the SpaceX dragon spacecraft.
According to Indian time, on March 18, at 10:35 am, the vehicle will be separated from the International Space Station.
NASA gave information
March 18 at 8:15 am- Hatch Close (vehicle lid will be closed)
March 18 at 10:35 am- Undocking (separation of vehicle from ISS)
March 19 am 2:41 am- deorbit burn (entry of vehicle in the atmosphere)
March 19 am 3:27 am- Splashdown (Landing of the sea)
March 19 am 5:00 am- Press conference regarding return to Earth
How did the plan change?
Sunita Williams and Wilmore went from Earth on 5 June 2024, whose plan to stay on ISS was only for a short time. However, some time later, the engineers detected the helium leak and malfunction in the propulsion system in Starlineer, causing this to return to the return.
NASA accepted the delay in August 2024 and began to plan an alternative return through the SpaceX Mission scheduled in early 2025. In September 2024, Starlineer returned to Earth without astronauts, emptying the docking port for other spacecraft. This decision was taken to ensure the ISS’s operational affidavit, waiting for the safe return option for Sunita Williams and and Wilmore.
What is NASA preparation?
The mission managers will continue to monitor weather conditions in the area, as the ignores of the dragon depends on various factors, including the preparation of the spacecraft, the preparation of the recovery team, the weather, sea conditions and other factors. NASA and SpaceX will confirm the Splashdown location close to Crew-9. NASA has selected Spacex’s Dragon Crew Capsule to bring Sunita. This capsule has been launched 49 times since its formation. The Dragon Capsule has traveled to the International Space Station 44 times and has been reflted 29 times.
