On August 24, 2024, the episode of Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Tandav began with Narad instructing Babul and Mumba to stand up and start taking the traditional marriage vows. The atmosphere was filled with joy as Babul and Mumba exchanged smiles and began taking the ceremonial rounds while the title song played in the background. Narad then announced that the marriage was completed, and everyone celebrated by showering the newlyweds with flowers. The crowd chanted in unison, praising both Shiv Shakti and the newly married couple, Babul and Mumba.
As the celebrations continued, Mumba regained her consciousness and approached her parents. She embraced her mother, Sardaran, and wiped away her tears. Sardaran expressed her happiness, stating that she felt fortunate to be the mother of Jagatmata. She believed that there was a divine purpose behind Shiv Shakti’s actions and urged Mumba to fulfill her responsibilities.
Meanwhile, Mumbarak, who had his own agenda, realized that he needed to inform Jalandhar about the truth behind Shiv Shakti. However, before he could act, Mumba noticed his intentions and called out to him, asking him to stop. Ignoring her call, Mumbarak tried to leave, but Mumba used her powers to surround him with fire, forcing him to halt. She confronted him, expressing her desire to make him suffer rather than kill him instantly. Mumba accused Mumbarak of being a coward for attacking Sardaran from behind. Enraged, she attacked him, and with the powerful chants of “Aigiri Nandini Nanditha Medhini,” Mumbarak met his end.
After dealing with Mumbarak, Mumba turned her attention to the Basti (village) that had given her love and identity. As a gesture of gratitude, she decided to leave a part of her power, referred to as Shakti bija, in the village. This Shakti bija would be known as Mumba, and it would protect the Basti from any danger. The villagers were overjoyed by this declaration, and the atmosphere was filled with the sacred sounds of the Mumba song.
In a different setting, a Tree man sought Lord Shiv’s help. Lord Shiv recalled how he had meditated under that tree in the form of Babul. He acknowledged the Tree man’s request and asked him what he desired. The Tree man requested that Lord Shiv place himself under the tree in the form of Babulnath. Granting this boon, Lord Shiv used his divine powers to create a shivling and placed it under the tree. The moment was marked by the chanting of “Om namah shivaya,” and one of the men declared that this place would be called Mumba. The crowd echoed with chants of “Mumba devi ki jai.”
The divine praises continued as Lord Narayan, Goddess Lakshmi, and the Devas chanted the names of Mumba Devi and Babulnath. However, the peaceful atmosphere was disrupted when Jalandhar overheard these chants. Confused and angered, he demanded to know who Mumba Devi and Babulnath were.
As tensions rose, Lord Shiv instructed Kartikeya to lead everyone to Kailash, signaling a retreat. Adi Shakti, noticing the stress on Lord Shiv’s face, asked him about his worries. Lord Shiv confessed that he did not wish to kill Jalandhar, but he knew that Jalandhar would not choose the right path. He was prepared to make a significant sacrifice, even though it would be a great loss.
The episode concluded with this sense of impending sacrifice, leaving the viewers with a cliffhanger, eagerly awaiting the next development in the storyline.
