After a fatal knife attack on a 26-year-old at the Kottbusser Tor underground station Men sentenced to prison for up to five years. The Berlin district court guilty of an 18-year-old in homicide. In the case of the 19 and 24 -year -old co -accused, the judges decided on bodily harm with death.
The court assumed a spontaneous deed in a conflict of ten euros from drug transactions. The 18-year-old, who stabbed, received a juvenile penalty of five years. A 19-year-old received three years and three months of youth, a 24-year-old was sentenced to five years in prison. Murder features such as low motives or insidies were not detectable.
The 26-year-old was found dead on an intermediate deck of the subway station on June 22, 2024 at around 1 p.m. The victim with Tunisian citizenship is said to have been attacked from a group on the U8 platform. According to the investigation, two of the attackers distracted him that the 18-year-old then approached the man and stabbed with a knife.
Dispute over money from illegal shops
The victim was still able to take the escalator up to the intermediate deck of the subway station in Berlin-Kreuzberg. There the young man collapsed and died. The Kottbusser Tor has been known as a crime focus for decades.
On the evening before, according to investigations, there is an argument about money after illegal shops with drugs. The 26-year-old worked as a street dealer for the 24-year-old and did not pay a smaller amount. The 24-year-old as a middleman saw himself injured in his honor, according to the indictment.
About a week after the crime, the 24-year-old, a man born in the Gaza Strip, were arrested with an unknown citizen, as well as the 18-year-old with Lebanese roots and have been in custody since then. The 19-year-old, who also comes from the Gaza Strip, was arrested in Greece in September and delivered to Germany.
The public prosecutor had pleaded for a guilty verdict for murder in the case of the 18-year-old and claimed for seven years. The other defendants are because of Assault to condemn with death. All defenders advocated conviction for assault with death. The judgment is not yet final.
