The Austrian window and door manufacturer Sageder Winden + Türen GmbH has filed for bankruptcy. The company based in Walding near Linz is insolvent and, according to the credit protection association of 1870 (KSV1870), has applied for a renovation process without self -administration, as the “Kronen Zeitung” reports.
Around a hundred employees are bankrupt. The company is primarily known for its high-quality wood-aluminum windows and supplies customers in Austria and Germany. In recent years, however, there has been a massive decline in order and increasing costs, according to the bankruptcy declaration.
According to KSV1870, the debt amounts to around 14.4 million euros, which are only offset by assets of 6.2 million euros. According to the insolvency administrator, the business is to be continued with the aim of renovating or selling parts of the company.
Saggeder has been on the market for over 25 years and is considered a medium -sized quality provider in the industry. The company was founded in 1921. Last year, the long -time company boss Josef Saggeder died. The management initially did not publicly comment on the background.
