India -Namibia Defense Ties Loan Assistance Offer Relations Between Two Countries will be strengthened – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Namibia was special in many ways. The reason is that there have been many important agreements between India and Namibia during this visit. In this, India mainly offered Namibia a line of credit (loan facility) for cooperation in the defense sector, so that it can buy defense equipment from India. Giving information in the case, India High Commissioner Rahul Srivastava said that Namibia has shown interest in defense equipment from India and India has proposed a financial assistance specifically for this.

India and Namibia will come together under cheetah protection

Along with this, during PM Modi’s visit, Namibia has assured that it will soon be a part of the International Cheetah Alliance (IBCA). This organization is designed for the conservation of big cat species like lions, tigers, leopards, cheetahs worldwide on the initiative of India. The alliance was launched by Prime Minister Modi in April 2023 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Project Tiger. Let me tell you that earlier in 2022 last year, eight cheetahs from Namibia were brought to India and settled in the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh, which was the first continental cheetah transfer in the world.

India’s support against malaria also

In Namibia, India High Commissioner Rahul Srivastava said that India has come forward to help in the health sector. Namibia had sought help from India to medicines and testing kits to deal with the problem of malaria, which will be sent soon.

Strategic and historical meetings

Significantly, during his visit to Namibia, PM Modi paid tribute to the first President Sam Nujoma and held bilateral talks with President Nandi-Nadyva at the State House. PM Modi was warmly welcomed in a traditional way. Keep in mind that Namibia was the last phase of Prime Minister Modi’s foreign trip to five countries. Prior to this, he visited Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina and Brazil, where he attended the BRICS conference and made several important agreements.
