Escape from police control – cyclist in mortal danger

In Berlin-Gesundbrunnen, a cyclist was seriously injured in a traffic control. A driver tried to flee.
An attempted escape in front of a police check ended late Wednesday evening in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen with several injuries. A 17-year-old without a driver’s license tried to escape control with a car sharing vehicle and caused a serious accident.
Shortly after 10 p.m., the car sharing vehicle on Brunnenstraße was to be checked by police forces. The youthful driver tried to evade the control by reversing. A policeman injured his arm.
In the further course of his escape, the 17-year-old drove on several people and finally crashed into a house wall. A 25-year-old pedestrian was caught between the vehicle and the house wall. The seriously injured woman had to be freed from passers -by who lifted the car and is currently being treated in a hospital.
According to information from police circles, the police officer involved broke his hand in the incident. It was also known that the car sharing account at the provider Miles should run over the mother of the young person.
The police immediately arrested the driver. Three other inmates between the ages of 16 and 19 were temporarily arrested. Against the 17-year-old suspect is now being investigated for several traffic crimes and dangerous bodily harm.
Due to the high number of injuries, the control center of the Berlin fire brigade triggered the keyword “mass attack on injuries”. A total of eight people examined eight people. Four of the injured were transported to hospitals.
The Berlin fire brigade moved in with a large number: 22 vehicles and 60 emergency services were on site. In addition to supplying the injured, the emergency services examined the vehicle, the building and the near area and ensured fire protection.
Directorate 1 (North )’s traffic investment service has taken over the investigation. Brunnenstrasse was temporarily closed in both directions due to the accident.
