Supreme Court Questions Ed Role In Political Matters Rejects appeal against Karnataka CM Wife – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

The Supreme Court on Monday lashed out at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and made sharp remarks about the alleged politically use of the ED. The Supreme Court rejected the ED’s plea filed against the wife of Karnataka CM and upheld the Karnataka High Court order. Expressing happiness over this, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that justice was finally done and the twisted case has also come to an end.

Supreme Court comments on ED

A bench of Chief Justice Justice BR Gawai and Justice of Justice heard the ED’s plea. The ED challenged the Karnataka High Court order in which the High Court had prohibited action against Karnataka CM’s wife Parvati in the Muda scam. Additional Solicitor General SV Raju appeared in the Supreme Court on behalf of ED. The Supreme Court while hearing the petition said that ‘Mr. Raju, please do not force us to open our mouth. Otherwise we have to use some stringent words against ED. Unfortunately, I have some experience in Maharashtra. Do not spread it all over the country. The political fight should be allowed to fight in front of voters, why are you being used in it. The court dismissed the ED’s petition and upheld the Karnataka High Court order.

Karnataka CM expressed happiness over the decision

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed happiness over the Supreme Court’s decision and issued a statement saying that justice was finally done. The statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office said that ‘the Supreme Court upheld the High Court order and dismissed the ED’s plea. The court took care in commenting against the ED and said that the case should not be politicized. The Supreme Court did not make any mistake in the High Court’s decision. Justice is done and the intervention of ED in the twisted scam will now stop.

Parvati Siddaramaiah, wife of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, was accused of irregularity in allotment of land in the Muda (Mysore Urban Development Authority) case. It is alleged that Muda allotted more expensive land in the posh area in Mysore in exchange for a land acquisition to the CM’s wife. There were allegations of scam worth crores of rupees in this case.
