Due to bad weather, the Jatri will not be a batch on Thursday from the passenger residence of Jammu for the Amarnath Yatra. Now the devotees will leave from here when the weather is favorable. Earlier, 15 batches have been successfully dispatched by the administration. According to sources, devotees may face problems due to bad weather. The roads are expected to be closed. For this reason the journey has been postponed. If the weather remains clear, the journey will leave on Friday. The yatra will also be postponed on Thursday from Baltal.

Female devotee dies, nine injured, one missing in landslide on Baltal road

During the Amarnath Yatra, a tragic incident took place on Baltal road on Wednesday evening due to rain. A female devotee died after being hit by a landslide at the Z turn near the railway. Sona Bai, 55, was a resident of Rajasthan. About nine passengers were injured in the accident. There is a missing search. The injured have been admitted to the hospital at Baltal Base Camp.

On Wednesday, devotees were coming to visit the Amarnath Yatra routes as before. Despite the rain, there was enthusiasm among the devotees. Meanwhile, due to heavy rains at the Z turn near the railway station, large rocks fell on the journey route from the hill. Devotees came in its grip. Sona Bai suffered serious injuries, causing her death. The injured have been provided medical facilities immediately and further investigation is on.
