On August 2, 2024, the episode of “Yeh Hai Chahatein” begins with Kaashvi waiting in the hospital for her medical report. Meanwhile, Karun is curious about the Jalebi man and asks a waiter about him. The waiter tells Karun that he will get Jalebi after marriage. Karun then sees Nagesh eating Jalebis. Nagesh, knowing where the Jalebis are kept, takes Karun inside and traps him in a drum, which he then places in a storeroom before leaving. With the help of the waiter, Karun escapes and decides to inform Arjun about Nagesh.
Elsewhere, Meera is getting ready as a bride. Arjun compliments her, saying she looks beautiful and that Mohan is lucky to have her. Meera thanks him and asks him to call Kaashvi. Arjun tries calling Kaashvi, but she doesn’t answer.
Kaashvi, meanwhile, asks the doctor what happened. The doctor informs her that she is pregnant, leaving Kaashvi shocked. The doctor advises her to enjoy the marriage and return for a check-up the next day. Kaashvi is left wondering how to break the news to Arjun. She reflects on the doctor’s words and thinks that perhaps fate does not want her to leave Arjun. She decides to reunite with Karun and Arjun.
Jagadish advises Nitya not to show her upset feelings to everyone. Nitya tells him about Mahima.
During this time, a photographer, who works for Nagesh, asks Mohan to stand near a selfie wall for some pictures. Vikram mentions that Mohan needs to get ready for the marriage. The photographer also asks Vikram to join Mohan for a photo. Suddenly, the lights go out, and Nagesh notices this. Mohan climbs up to fix the issue, but Karun shows up, and Nagesh sees him and gives chase.
Karun encounters a man working for Nagesh near the electricity board and questions what he is doing there. The man leaves to call Nagesh, and Karun takes the opportunity to pull a wire, which results in Mohan receiving a fatal electric shock. Vikram tries to save Mohan but fails, leading to Mohan’s death. Vikram cries out, drawing Arjun to the scene. Nagesh flees upon seeing Arjun. Karun realizes that his actions led to Mohan’s death.
Arjun asks Vikram what happened, and Vikram reveals that Mohan is dead. Arjun is about to inform Meera, but Vikram stops him, fearing Meera might die if she learns of Mohan’s death. Arjun then inquires how it happened, and Vikram explains that Karun is to blame. Arjun is shocked by this revelation. Two men arrive, and Arjun asks them to help move Mohan’s body to a room and to keep it a secret. He then asks Vikram to apply ointment to his injury, but Vikram refuses.
The episode ends with a dramatic twist. In the precap, Vikram tells Arjun that Meera has become a widow before her marriage and insists that Karun must go to jail. Karun explains everything to Arjun, who then decides to find a way to save Karun from this predicament.
