June 26, 2024 – Exciting news for Final Fantasy XIV fans! The much-anticipated expansion, “Dawntrail,” is set to release on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Early access will begin on June 28, 2024, allowing eager players to dive into the new content a few days ahead of the official launch.
What to Expect in Dawntrail
“Dawntrail” is the latest expansion for the popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV. The expansion introduces a new chapter in the game’s story, taking players to the New World, Tural, and its capital, Tuliyollal. The expansion will feature numerous new areas, jobs, and gameplay elements, offering a wealth of new content for both new and veteran players.
New Locations and Storyline Players will explore new regions such as the mountainous Urqopacha and the dense forests of Yak T’el. The story centers around the Warriors of Light embarking on a journey across the Indigo Deep with familiar characters like Alphinaud and Alisaie. They will aid a visitor from the New World in a rite of succession to determine Tural’s next ruler.
New Jobs and Level Cap “Dawntrail” will introduce multiple new jobs, including the “Viper,” a close-range fighter wielding dual blades that can be combined into a single two-handed weapon. Additionally, the level cap will increase from 90 to 100, allowing players to further develop their characters.
Graphical Updates This expansion will also bring the game’s first graphical update, enhancing character and world visuals with higher resolution textures and improved material qualities.
