Donald Trump signs a decree that the showers of the US citizens are to be “freed”. He also refers to his own hairstyle.
In the first two and a half months of his term, Donald Trump caused plenty of vertebrae. Hardly a day passed without the US president signed an executive estate. Most of them are highly controversial, like those Executive orderwhich says that there are only two genders in the United States or those who rename the Gulf of Mexico into Gulf of America.
Now Trump has struck again. This time he is targeting the shower of the Americans. Yes, right, the shower heads will soon bloom again in the land of unlimited possibilities. Just as Trump puts up a number of environmental protection regulations to enable the oil and gas industry to exploit American reason, so he now wants to delight US households with a liberalization of the showers.
As US media report, the President signed a decree on Wednesday that is aimed at “reversing the War of the Left against the water pressure”, as it was said in a message from the White House. Accordingly, Trump instructed his energy minister Chris Wright to lift the rules for water pressure in shower heads. In particular, he struggled against efficiency standards because they were standing in the way of maintaining his hairstyle.
“In my case, I like to take a nice shower to care for my beautiful hair,” said Trump to report as he signed the arrangement in the Oval Office. In doing so, he complained about the restrictive regulations from the Obama and Biden era to limit water consumption. “I have to stand under the shower for 15 minutes until it gets wet. It comes out, drips, drips, drips. It’s ridiculous.”
The White House tried to put the bizarre presidential instruction in a larger context in a statement. The old regulations were harmful to the US economy and the personal opportunities for the citizens. “The American economy is stalled, the bureaucracy is strengthened and personal freedom is restricted.”
With the decree, the “War of the Obama and Biden government against water pressure” would finally end, it said. And further: “By restoring the shower freedom, President Trump enables his promise to reduce unnecessary regulations and put the Americans in the first place.”
Trump’s bureaucrats celebrate the step as the great victory of the republican agenda, culminating in the sentence: “Make America’s Showers Great Again” (“makes America’s showering great again”). So it says in the press release.
