- Moringa Stick-5-6 (cut in small pieces)
- Tuvar Dal (Arhar Dal) – 1 cup
- Tomato – 2 (Finely chopped)
- Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
- Green Chilli – 2 (chopped)
- Garlic buds-5-6 (crushed)
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Rye – 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin – 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – as per taste
- Curry Leaf-6-7
- Ghee or oil – 2 tablespoons
- Green coriander – for decoration
Tasty Drumstick Dal Recipe | How to make drumstick at home Sahajan dal recipe in hindi

- Wash Tuvar dal and soak it for 30 minutes. Then add lentils, turmeric and some salt to the cooker and cook till 2-3 whistles.
- Boil the pieces of drumstick in a separate vessel and boil it until it becomes soft. Sieve the boiled drumstick and keep it aside.
- Heat ghee or oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin, asafetida and curry leaves. Then add garlic and green chillies and fry it golden. After this add onion and fry till it becomes light golden.
- Now add tomatoes, turmeric and red chili powder to it. Fry the masala until the oil starts separating.
- Now add boiled lentils and drumstick. Add water as required and cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes so that all the flavors are mixed well.
- Finally add green coriander and turn off the gas. Serve hot drumstick dal with rice or roti.
