PUBG: Battlegrounds, a well-loved battle royale game, is gearing up for some exciting changes as it enters its seventh year. Taking a leaf out of Fortnite’s book, PUBG is introducing destructible environments. This new feature will allow players to change parts of the map, adding a fresh twist to the gameplay.
This major update is set to launch in April, with more enhancements planned for future releases. The introduction of destructible environments will give players the power to create new attack routes or build defensive barriers, adding a new level of strategy to the game.
But that’s not all. PUBG’s arsenal will also see bi-monthly updates to keep the competitive meta fresh. These updates will first be tested in Arcade mode, taking player feedback into account before they are introduced in Normal and Ranked play.
The developers are also looking to expand beyond traditional shooting mechanics. They’re considering adding portable ziplines and have recently introduced vehicle vaulting and co-op climbing to give players more options during gameplay.
While there are no new game modes in the pipeline for the upcoming updates, the developers are planning to introduce Team vs. Games. This feature will take players and their allies to a series of tournaments with a new team, where their activities and victories contribute to additional prizes.
PUBG developers are committed to enhancing the gaming experience and have an ambitious roadmap for 2024. With these updates, PUBG is set to revamp its gameplay experience, promising core gameplay refinements, destructible environments, and more. So, gear up for an even more thrilling PUBG experience!
