The Compart Group won on Friday the public-private partnership auction (PPP) promoted by the São Paulo government involving operation, maintenance and modernization of three urban trains lines, with a discount offer on the 2.57%state consideration.
The auction involved the 11-coral lines, 12-Safira and 13-jade of urban trains, called the Alto Tietê lot, which promise to expand the connections between the state capital and the metropolitan region. The planned investments, according to the state government, are $ 14.3 billion over 31 years of contract.
The Compart Group disputed the event with CCR (CCRO3), which offered a 1.45% disagreement over the state consideration.

The auction
The forecast is an investment of R $ 14.3 billion over 25 years of future concession, with significant improvements for passengers and expansion of services provided, according to state government statement.
Also according to state management, the concession will bring operational, structural and technological improvements to passengers, including the requalification of the three lines and the expansion of the rail network.

“Eight new stations and renovated 24 existing stations will be built, in addition to the elimination of all levels at the level, which will be replaced by walkways, viaducts or underground passages, ensuring more safety for passengers and greater fluidity in urban traffic.”
By 2040, it is expected that the three lines will transport together 1.3 million passengers per day on useful average. ” The concession will allow the reduction of the interval between trains, ensuring a more efficient operation in different lines, ”according to the state government.
Lines already granted
Lines 8 – Diamond and 9 – Esmeralda have been operated by via emobility since January 2022. Over the past few years, however, both have recorded numerous flashes and the prosecutor of SP has recommended that the contract be broken. In August 2023, the concessionaire signed a Conduct Adjustment Agreement (TAC) with the MP committing to implement improvements.
