Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings begin
New members were sworn in in the Rajya Sabha when proceedings started on Friday. However, due to slogans and noise, the proceedings were disrupted and the proceedings of both houses had to be postponed. Deputy Chairman Harivansh adjourned the Rajya Sabha proceedings till 12 noon, while speaker Om Birla adjourned the Lok Sabha proceedings till 2 pm.

Symbolistic opposition to SIR of Election Commission
Before the proceedings of both houses of Parliament start Party MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and MPs of other opposition parties, including Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, symbolically opposed the SIR of the Election Commission. The members tore the SIR and threw it into the dustbin.

Today is the fifth day of the monsoon session of Parliament. There is a possibility of uproar and protests of opposition parties in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The appeal being made to the leaders of both sides to overcome the deadlock between the ruling party and the opposition is continuously proving to be ineffective. A few minutes after the commencement of the proceedings of the House, Speaker Om Birla and Deputy Chairman Harivansh in Rajya Sabha have to postpone the proceedings due to chaos and noise in the House. Speaker Om Birla has also warned, expressing displeasure over the behavior of MPs, but MPs of opposition parties are adamant on their demands.
