On March 26, at around 7 pm, Unified Payment Interface (UPI) will suddenly be down. After the UPI was down, GPAY, PhonePe, Paytm and BHIM app users faced a lot of problems. Due to UPI outage, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda and Kotak Mahindra Bank customers had a lot of trouble online payment. Due to UPI Down, thousands of money were neither able to receive nor transfer money across the country. However, now the UPI is completely cured and now all the services are working as before.
Due to this outage for about one and a half, users who used different applications faced many problems. After this, information has been given by tweeting on behalf of NPCI about the recovery of UPI services. NPCI also issued an official statement about the cause of the outage.
NPCI posted on the social media platform X (East Twitter) and said that the outage was faced due to technical problems. NPCI said that all types of technical problems have now been fully solved and now users can use UPI.
According to Downdetector, the problem started by 7:50 pm on UPI. Shortly, thousands of complaints were filed on the website regarding the outage. Let us tell you that India’s Unified Payments Interface is a popular online payment service. It is designed by the National Payments Corporation of India. At present, no response has been given by NPCI regarding UPI outage.
