After downloading the answer key, candidates can tally their answers with the official key to calculate their probable scores. The NEET exam consists of 720 marks, with questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Candidates who are not satisfied with the answer key can challenge it. The NTA has provided an option to challenge the answer key online. To challenge, candidates need to pay a fee of INR 200 per question. The last date to submit challenges is May 31, 2024.

NEET Marking Scheme and Passing Marks:

According to the NEET UG marking scheme, candidates are awarded four marks for each correct answer, while one mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. To pass the NEET exam, candidates need to score at least 50% marks. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC), the minimum passing marks are 40%. Candidates with benchmark disabilities need 45% marks to pass if they belong to the general category, and 40% if they belong to SC, ST, or OBC categories.

Counseling and Seat Allocation:

Candidates who pass the NEET exam are eligible for counseling for admission to medical courses. The counseling process involves the allocation of 15% of seats under the All India Quota (AIQ) and 85% of seats under the State Quota.
