Mangal enters and questions Kusum’s presence. Kusum makes up an excuse and leaves. Adit calls his phone from a Pan Shop number and asks Mangal to bring it to him, which she agrees to do.
Gayatri observes Sanjana shopping from home and questions her about it. Sanjana says it’s for Saavan and asks Lakshmi to choose a dress. Lakshmi declines, but Gayatri insists she selects a saree for her. Karthik, through gestures, helps Lakshmi pick a dress. Gayatri notices and picks the saree for herself that Karthik chose for Lakshmi. Lakshmi feels disappointed. Karthik then intervenes, asking Gayatri to give the saree to Lakshmi since he chose it for her, and he selects another saree for Gayatri. Sanjana teases Karthik as he leaves for his recording. Lakshmi offers her lehenga to Gayatri, but Gayatri refuses and leaves.
After delivering Adit’s phone, Mangal meets Kanika and learns that the dance competition requires mother-daughter pairs. Mangal feels tense about this revelation. Kusum is about to go to the café in an auto-rickshaw when Mangal joins her. Lakshmi thanks Gayatri for forgiving her, but Gayatri retorts that she hasn’t forgiven her.
During the ride, Kusum questions Mangal about her accompanying her to discuss Ishana’s competition. Mangal confides in Kusum about the competition rules and her fear. Kusum encourages her to believe in herself.
Gayatri informs Lakshmi that she is not allowing her to attend the Saavan puja, warning that her actions will strain her relationship with Kusum. Lakshmi feels dejected. At the café, Kusum prevents Mangal from entering and sends her away. As Mangal walks away, someone opens a car door, hitting her.
