Maharashtra Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan on Sunday claimed that some opposition MPs, especially Shiv Sena (UBT), are in touch with BJP. He indicated that soon the number of BJP MPs in Parliament will increase.
Mahajan spoke to journalists after visiting the famous Pandharpur temple in Solapur district. During this, he said that the number of BJP MPs will increase further. Four MPs were already in contact with us, now there is a possibility of three more. He said that these MPs belong to different parties, but most are from Shiv Sena (UBT).
Mahajan targeted Uddhav Thackeray
Targeting Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, Mahajan said that the ‘Thackeray brand’ is no longer effective in Maharashtra. Recently, Uddhav Thackeray said in an interview with ‘Saamana’ executive editor Sanjay Raut that ‘Thackeray is not just a brand, but the identity of Maharashtra, Marathi Manus and Hindu Gaurav’.

Thackeray brand is no longer impressive as before
To this, Mahajan replied, ‘Thackeray brand is no longer impressive as before. Balasaheb Thackeray was the leader of the real Shiv Sena. But when Uddhav Thackeray formed a government with the Congress in 2019, he gave up the ideology of Balasaheb. Since then the impact of Thackeray brand has reduced.
Mahajan told the allegations of opposition leaders false
When some opposition leaders alleged that Eknath Shinde’s government was formed due to some ‘CD’, Mahajan criticized Congress leader Nana Patole, calling these allegations false. He said, ‘People are just talking in the air. Sometimes let’s talk about a CD, sometimes a pen drive. If you have any evidence, give it to the Speaker of the Assembly. What is the use of speaking without proof?
Thackeray told the meeting of CM Fadnavis
Recently, on the meeting of Uddhav Thackeray and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the assembly premises, he also said, ‘This was a simple conversation. There is no need for bitterness or conflict every time.

Congress leaders were accused of implicating officials in honeytrap
Congress leader Patole had alleged that some officials posted at the Ministry of Thane, Nashik and Mumbai (Secretariat) were implicated in a ‘honeytrap’. Reacting to the allegation, Fadnavis told the assembly on Friday that no case of blackmailing has come to light through the honeytrap in the state. Fadnavis, who is taking charge of the Home Ministry, said that a woman had lodged a complaint in Nashik, but was later withdrawn.
