Max Eberl has no easy stand at FC Bayern Munich, which became clear about Thomas Müller again. Ex-CEO Oliver Kahn accuses the association’s lack of support.

Ex-club boss Oliver Kahn has criticized a lack of backing for sports director Max Eberl on the management of FC Bayern Munich. “In the past, this was not a good sign if any names are constantly rumored to the public,” said the 55-year-old of the “picture” with a view to speculation about Eberl’s possible replacement.

“You expect a certain support. At some point there must also be a certain confidence. That it is now being speculated again, other names are being acted, and that is also being approved and no one is opposed – that is certainly not easier for Max Eberl to do that and, above all, it weakens its position,” criticized Kahn.

In public perception, Eberl has no simple stand with the German record champion. At the end of the season, Eberl’s public statements did not fit around the separation of record player Thomas Müller, for example, by honorary president Uli Hoeneß. In the past few weeks, speculation of FC Bayern’s interest in Mario Gomez, who works in management for RB Leipzig. Austria’s national coach Ralf Rangnick was also associated with the leaders of the Bundesliga.
