‘Jadeja should have attacked by selecting bowlers’
Kumble said, ‘Jadeja should have selected the bowlers against whom he could take an aggressive stance. Chris Woakes, Joe Root and Bashir were such bowlers. Bashir and Root may be off -spinners, but their ball was not taking too much turn. If someone had to take risks, he was Jadeja who should have done so. He did a good job by keeping a more strike with Bumrah and Siraj during his batting, but it was risky to give Siraj to Bashir’s full over. They should have adopted an aggressive stance in its place.
Kumble also praised Jadeja’s unbeaten 61 runs
Kumble, praising Jadeja’s unbeaten 61 -run combative innings, said that he had almost done a miracle by reaching India 170 runs, chasing the target of 193 runs to win. Kumble said, ‘He was the best, he had come to bat in the sixth over of the day and remained unbeaten till the end. It is incredible to double the score after falling 7 wickets at 82 with Bumrah and Siraj.
