The Holy Week in Zamora It is one of the oldest, solemn and recognized in Spain. Declared of international tourist interest, every year thousands of people – among neighbors and visitors – travel the streets of the Castilian -Loice town to accompany the brotherhoods in their processions.

Among all days, Good Friday is the day with the greatest intensity emotional and one of the most anticipated of the Zamorano calendar. The brotherhoods leave from dawn until late at night, starring in some of the most overwhelming moments throughout Holy Week.

Thus, this April 18, Zamora will host three great processions: From the early morning, with the brotherhood of Jesus Nazareno; in the afternoon, with the imposing procession of the Holy Burial; And at night, with that of our mother of anguish.


Good Friday processions in Zamora

  • Brotherhood of Jesús Nazareno (vulgar congregation), 5.00 hours.
    The procession starts with the traditional dance of five of drinks inside the church of San Juan de Puerta Nueva, to continue through the Plaza Mayor, Calle Renova, Sagasta Square, San Torcuato street, Plaza de Germany, Avenida de Víctor Gallego, Avenida Tres Cruces.
