Google Pixel smartphone
After Apple, Google has also decided to make India its new production hub. The American tech company can shift its Pixel smartphone’s production unit from Vietnam to India. Since August last year, Google has been producing its pixel smartphone in India. The company prepared Pixel 8 in India as its first product. Apart from this, Pixel 8A has also been assembled in India itself. After this, all the models of the Pixel 9 series to be launched are made in India.
Production plant will be shifted from Vietnam
According to the latest report of the ET, after the US imposing tariffs on Vietnam, Alphabet can shift its global pixel phone production plant to India. However, no official announcement has been made by Google. The highest demand of Google Pixel Phone in the US market can fulfill this demand by shifting its production unit to India to reduce the dependence on Vietnam. The US Trump government is going to impose heavy tariffs on several countries including China. However, Trump later made it clear that the recipe, tablet, etc. will not be applied to the recipe.
Tariff will affect
Google’s parent company Alphabet is talking about two manufacturing partners Foxconn and Dixon technology about the production of Pixel smartphones in India. According to the report, the first round has been negotiated between Alphabet and these two companies. At this time Trump has decided to impose 46% import tariff on Vietnam. At the same time, a tariff of 26% is imposed on products imported from India. In such a situation, Google will have to pay almost double tariffs compared to India for importing pixel phones from Vietnam.
Amidst this tariff war, Apple transported about 600 tonnes of iPhone from India earlier this month. According to the report, the company airlifted about 1.5 million iPhones, about 1.5 million iPhones. On 9 April, the US banned the resipocal tariff of 90 days.
