Eintracht has no trouble with the 1st FC Heidenheim and remains on the course of Champions League. The game begins with an early blow.
Eintracht Frankfurt has sent a sign of the competition in the fight for the Champions League places. The Hessen won 3-0 (2-0) against relegation candidate 1. FC Heidenheim on Sunday evening and thus consolidated third place in the Bundesliga table.
Jean-Mattéo Bahoya (10th), Robin Koch (42nd) and Hugo Ekitiké (71st) met for the team of coach Dino Toppmöller against harmless guests. The SGE won three of the last four Bundesliga games.
In the early minutes of 57,500 spectators, the Heidenheimers presented themselves courageously, the plan of coach Frank Schmidt, to give Eintracht a difficult “sandwich game” in the middle of the international tasks. And was then thrown over the pile when Farés Chaibi used his teammate Bahoya, who dusted off the lead from a short distance.
Frankfurt now took control and pushed for the next goal, which both Ekitiké (15th) and Arthur Theate (19th) missed. The opponent, on the other hand, put off in contrast to the game at the beginning of the game hardly any accents and remained largely harmless.
Toppmöller was therefore able to limit itself to minor corrections on the sidelines, but was waiting in vain for his team to keep his team on other big chances until shortly before half -time – and then saw how defense chief Koch hit the right corner after a shelf of the assets and gave a calming halftime score.
After a double change, the 1st fch initially showed up as the more active team after the restart, but after a counterattack, Marvin Pieringer missed the big chance for the connecting goal (57th) – shortly afterwards Tim Siersleben made it almost an own goal on the opposite side with his clarification attempt. The Frank Schmidt team developed advantages in the ball possession, the fans now offered a lively game with opportunities on both sides in the Frankfurt evening sun – before Ekitiké met 3-0 after the presentation of the recently substituted Nathaniel Brown.
