The Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann (PT), said on Thursday (27) that the criticism made by allies of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, the Supreme Court (STF), only reinforce the “hits” of the magistrate and “the guilt of the investigated” accused of attempted coup.

The statement was made a day after the 1st class of the Supreme Court accepted the complaint of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) against Bolsonaro and seven others. The accused are investigated for an alleged coup plot that aimed to prevent the inauguration of President -elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT), in 2023.
In an X (former Twitter) publication, Gleisi also argued that extremist acts from January 8 need to be treated as a “violent coup attempt.”
The minister praised the decision of Moraes, rapporteur of the case, to display in the trial a video with scenes of the headquarters of the headquarters of the three powers in Brasilia. The images were used as part of the foundation of your vote.
“Moraes revived the memory of the brutality they practiced against democracy. As the minister said, there were no Bibles in the square, but scenes of extreme violence. It was not an attack with lipstick, but a violent coup attempt,” he wrote.
