Last night, the Special Staff of the Western District of Delhi Police had an encounter with a watand crook late in the night. The police have arrested the watand crook after the encounter. The miscreant is shot in the leg while the policeman was also shot on a bulletproof jacket during the encounter. Thankfully, his life was saved. Give information that on Thursday and Friday night, the police team raided a hideout, during which the encounter took place.
Trying to ask for extortion
According to Delhi Police, the crook Akash Jha was arrested in a case of firing at Mayapuri police station in 2024 and came out of jail in November 2024. Recently, there were complaints that he was roaming in the area and trying to ask for extortion again, although no one came forward to file a formal complaint.
Police came to know about whereabouts
The police team discovered her hideout at Indira Camp No-5, Vikaspuri. When the team raided the campus at around 1:30 pm, he opened fire on the police party and got a policeman wearing a bullet proof jacket. After this, the police team also fired in self -defense, which hit the attacker’s left leg just below the knee. Due to which the crook fell and the police caught him. He was then immediately rushed to DDU Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. Legal action is being taken against him in Thana Vikaspuri.
According to Delhi Police, Akash Jha aka Monu has been involved in many cases of robbery, firing and attacking. He is also allegedly wanted in a case of Gunda Act of Police Station Police Station of Gautam Budh Nagar (UP).
