However, there was no news of any damage due to earthquake tremors. According to the National Center for Sismology, earthquake tremors were felt in Meghalaya at 5.41 pm. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km below the earth in the eastern Garo Hills of Meghalaya.

Earlier, earthquake tremors were felt at 1:7 pm on Tuesday 18 March in the North East state of Manipur, India. The intensity of this earthquake in Manipur has been measured at 3.8 on the Richter scale. The center of this earthquake was 10 kilometers from the earth in Churachandpur, Manipur.
