Sony has announced that the beloved 2006 PSP game “Daxter” is now available for PlayStation Plus Premium members. This classic game is part of the new lineup of titles added to the service on June 18, 2024.

“Daxter” is a spin-off from the popular “Jak and Daxter” series, focusing on the character Daxter. In this game, players guide Daxter through various adventures as he works to free his friend Jak from prison. The game features a mix of platforming and combat, set in the vibrant world of Haven City. Originally released on the PlayStation Portable, “Daxter” has been updated with enhanced graphics, quick save options, and custom video filters for its re-release on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms.
The inclusion of “Daxter” in the PlayStation Plus Premium lineup is part of a broader initiative by Sony to bring classic games to modern consoles. Alongside “Daxter,” other titles such as “LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy” and “Ghosthunter” have also been added to the service. Notable titles include “Monster Hunter Rise,” “Crusader Kings III,” and “Far Cry 4.” “Monster Hunter Rise,” released in 2021, offers players the chance to hunt down monsters in a richly detailed world. “Crusader Kings III,” a grand strategy game, lets players manage a medieval dynasty, navigating political intrigue and warfare. “Far Cry 4” provides an open-world first-person shooter experience set in the fictional country of Kyrat.
