
CISF has suspended its 5 personnel.
Kolkata: The Central Industrial Security Force i.e. CISF has suspended its 5 personnel arrested by the West Bengal Police. Giving information about this, official sources said that internal investigation has also been started. West Bengal Police arrested 5 CISF personnel and 3 others on charges of looting in a woman’s house from Kolkata as Income Tax Officer. According to the Kolkata police, on the morning of March 18, a gang allegedly raided the house of Vinita Singh, who lives with his daughter in Chinar Park area as an Income Tax Officer.
Doubt arose among family members
According to reports, the arrested CISF personnel include an inspector, an head constable and 3 constables, one of which is a female personnel. A CISF official said that a senior officer of the force has been ordered an internal inquiry into the incident. According to Vinita’s complaint, the robbers looted a digital video recorder related to Rs 3 lakh cash, 25 lakh rupees and CCTV cameras. When he was not given a seizure list, doubt arose among the family members, after which he lodged a complaint at Baguihati police station. Officials said the police started the investigation after which the suspects were arrested.
Angle of property dispute surfaced
In this case, 2 persons were initially arrested from Kolkata and then CISF personnel were arrested from Farakka in Murshidabad district. The investigation revealed that after the death of Vinita Singh’s father, she had a property dispute with her step mother Aarti Singh. Police officials said Aarti allegedly had relations with the Inspector of the arrested CISF and contacted him to plan a robbery. The stolen items were to be allegedly divided between Aarti and conspirators. Officials said that Aarti Singh has also been arrested. (Language)
