Explosion at BJP leader’s house
There is a strong explosion in the house of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manoranjan Kalia in Jalandhar district of Punjab. At the time when the blast took place, BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia was present at home. Family members, including the BJP leader, were very scared of the incident. The police team is present on the spot. The matter is being investigated.
Explosion took place at 1 pm
Giving information about the incident, BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia said, ‘There was a blast at around 1 pm. I was sleeping, I felt that this was a sound of thunder. Later I was told that there was a blast, after which I sent my gunman to the police station. CCTV is being investigated, forensic experts are also present here.
Many things of the house were damaged due to blast
The blast became so strong that its voice was heard in the entire area. Family members came in panic. It is not yet known what the explosion has been done. Many things kept in the courtyard of the house were damaged by the blast. The doors of the house, the glass of the car etc. were broken. Many other things including motorcycles have been damaged.
Forensic and police team inspection
Jalandhar DCP Manpreet Singh said, ‘The blast at BJP leader Kalia’s house is being investigated. A team of police has arrived. The forensic team is also inspecting. The forensic team will report this entire development. The explosion is outside the house of entertainment Kalia late at night.
Grenade attack or some more investigation will be known
Jalandhar Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur says, ‘We got information about the blast here at around 1 pm, after which we reached the spot and started the investigation. The forensic team is investigating the case. CCTV is also monitoring footage. The forensic team is investigating whether it is a grenade attack or something else. This will be told only after investigation.
