According to police sources, when Dharmendra used to come to the village demanding land, he was threatened. Due to lack of land and social boycott, Dharmendra had to leave the village first to go to Delhi, then Patna and eventually Pavapuri. Dharmendra had a debt of five lakh rupees. Due to financial and mental pressure, he died by consuming poison with his entire family. Dharmendra mentioned the harassment of the people and lenders of Gotia in a statement before the death.

On the basis of this statement, Pavapuri police station of Nalanda district raided Purnakama village in Sheikhpura district late Saturday evening. With the help of Sheikhpura police, the deceased’s cousin Ghanshyam Mahato was detained and taken to Nalanda. Confirming this, Sheikhpura Sadar Police Station Dharmendra Kumar said that the Nalanda police have taken the accused with them. The sources also say that the suspicious role of a public representative is also coming out in Dharmendra’s ancestral land. The police is also investigating in this direction.

Along with this, the police is also investigating some other angles. In this, serious allegations have also been made against the wife and daughter of the two lenders from whom Dharmendra took money. Dharmendra had alleged that wrong intentions towards these women were also being kept, causing mental harassment to increase.

Mourning in the village, resentment among people

After this heartbreaking incident, there is an atmosphere of mourning and shock in Purnakama village. Villagers say that if the people of Gotia had given Dharmendra his right in time, then today an entire family would have been alive. As the police investigation is moving forward, layers of social and family failures are opening one by one, which led to a horrific incident like suicide.
