While bringing an e-rickshaw to Sadar Hospital for medical examination, an accused escaped with his hand and the police kept on rubbing their hands. The incident occurred on Saturday. Before appearing in the court on Saturday, the accused was sent to Sadar Hospital for medical examination along with an elderly home guard jawan. Munshi paid Rs 100 to the said home guard for going by e-rickshaw. Home Guard Jawan Sadanand Singh Arapeit got handcuffed to Sadar Hospital for medical examination on an e-rickshaw. When the e-rickshaw reached the breaker near the hospital gate, the soldier got down from the rickshaw and went to the drug store to retail the rupee. Taking advantage of the alone as soon as the old soldier was removed, the accused Saurabh took out handcuffs and started running away. The Home Guard jawans ran after Arapeit while making a ruckus, but by then the accused escaped towards Laldarwaja.

In this regard, the Munger SP said that the absconding of the accused from police custody is a sign of negligence and dutylessness. Action will be taken against the culprits after investigating the case. It has been directed to register a case against the absconding accused and arrest soon. Now the police is conducting intensive raids to arrest the accused Saurabh.
