A video of Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of former Bihar Health Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the video, Tej Pratap is seen communicating with some local people of Mahua assembly constituency on video calling. During the conversation, he says that we are not the Baua of Mahua, where will we go.
This statement by Tej Pratap provides a clear indication that he can once again contest from his old seat Mahua Assembly. But this time this battle can not happen under the RJD banner, but as a new party or independent candidate.

Old relationship with mahuaMLAs were made in 2015
Tej Pratap Yadav won the 2015 assembly elections on RJD ticket from Mahua seat. Then he was sworn in in the government led by Nitish Kumar as Health Minister. During his tenure, he had announced to give a medical college to Mahua, which is now ready and is seen as a strong achievement of him in the region.
Tickets cut in 2020, political distance started
However, in the 2020 assembly elections, the party cut his ticket and Mukesh Roshan was nominated from Mahua. Tej Pratap was then fielded from Hasanpur seat from where he also won the election. But this decision of the party believed that the onset of tension between Tej Pratap and RJD leadership.
