French cup wonder ends in the semi -finals

Surprisingly, the youth club from Zinedine Zidane works to the semi -finals of the French trophy. But there is an end for AS Cannes: the opposing first division team throws the title winner from 1932 out of the competition.
The fairytale trophy tour of the French football club AS Cannes came to an end in the semifinals. The amateur club from the Alpes-Maritimes department in the southern French lost 1: 2 (0: 1) against the first division club Stade Reims, who now hits Paris Saint-Germain in the final.
Hafiz Ibrahim (14th) and substitute Teddy Teuma (58th) met for the guests. Cheikh N’Doye (52nd) had achieved the interim compensation for the great outsider. Cannes threw three second division teams from the competition on the way to the semi -finals with Grenoble Foot, FC Lorient and EA Guingamp. The club last played in the highest French division in 1998, in 1932 the youth club from Icon Zinédine Zidane won the trophy.
The day before, top club Paris Saint-Germain reached the final in the national trophy with great effort. The capitals, to whom their eleventh championship can only be taken in 13 years, won in the semi-finals of the Coupe de France in Lille against the second division Usl Dunkerque after two goal deficit 4: 2 (1: 2).
The former Dortmund Ousmane Dembélé (45th, 90th+4), Marquinhos (48th) and Désiré Doué (62nd) turned the completely unexpected deficit in the provincial club. In addition to the championship, PSG strives for its 16th cup victory and is also in the Champions League in the race. The final will be held on May 24th in the Stade de France in Saint-Denis.
