The argument group with over 40 institutions is insolvent. A comprehensive renovation procedure is intended to ensure the continued existence of care.
Argentum nursing group has applied for insolvency proceedings. According to the company, the Bad Homburg district court approved this step on April 1 and ordered a preliminary self -administration, as reported by the portal “Care before 9”.
With around 2,800 employees and over 40 institutions nationwide, the argument group is one of the larger providers in the field of inpatient and outpatient senior care. Around 3,100 people are currently being looked after there.
The renovation process affects all four holding companies of the group. The aim is to restructure business operations. This should initially be continued without restrictions. The redevelopment lawyer Lucas Flöther was appointed as a provisional administrator. He is responsible for monitoring the management during the renovation and securing the interests of the creditors.
In order to implement the realignment, Argentum has brought several experts from the K&L Gates business office into the management. The partners Georg Bernsau and Nadja Raiß as well as the restructuring expert Ansgar Schröder were appointed renovation managers. Bernsau announced that it would “have talks with all the essential participants in the coming weeks” in order to develop a concept for the future of the company.
Before the bankruptcy, the company was led by three managing directors: Jens Brettschneider, responsible for the operational business, Michael Dillmann as chief finance chief and Volker Robert Hippler.
As reasons for the economic imbalance, Argentum refers to structural problems in the entire care industry. Among other things, the shortage of skilled workers, high operating costs, bureaucratic loads and inadequate financing are mentioned.
Not all parts of the company can be continued in the protective shield procedure. For some subsidiaries – including the facilities in Erbach and Bad König – a regular insolvency proceedings are necessary, since the legal and economic requirements for self -administration are not met. Other operational societies should continue to exist outside of a procedure.
