The announcement came through a tweet from Wired Productions, highlighting the game’s unique blend of laundry management and arcade gameplay.
A Journey from Laundry to Arcade Empire
In “Arcade Paradise VR,” players step into the shoes of Ashley, a rebellious teenager. Ashley’s father, Gerald, owns a laundromat but dreams of turning it into an arcade. While Gerald is away, Ashley takes the chance to make this dream a reality. The game features a rich storyline set in the 1990s, full of nostalgia for arcade fans.
Gameplay and Features
“Arcade Paradise VR” offers a mix of management tasks and arcade gaming. Players will start by managing the laundromat, doing tasks like washing clothes, cleaning gum, and throwing out the trash in mini-games. The money earned from these chores can be used to buy arcade cabinets.
The game features 39 arcade games, including six VR-exclusive cabinets. Some of the VR games are:
- KO Champ: A boxing game testing your strength and speed.
- Basketball Blast: A basketball shooting game against the clock.
- Istvan Speaks: A fortune-telling game.
- Smash ‘Em: A light-gun shooter game.
- Balloon Jack 3D: A shooting game to hit balloons and avoid skulls.
The VR experience also includes enhanced versions of classic games like UFO Assault and Smoke ‘Em.
