Get ready, esports fans! The much-anticipated Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 is about to get even more exciting with the introduction of its very own Wild Card stage. This new addition to the tournament will see eight additional teams from diverse regions including China, Eastern European and Central Asian countries (EECA), Latin America (LATAM), Malaysia, and more, battling it out for a coveted spot in the main event set to take place in the vibrant city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MSC 2024 Wild Card stage is set to make its grand debut soon, promising a thrilling showdown as eight more teams vie for a single slot in the main event. The event is scheduled to run concurrently with the main event from June 28th to July 14th, ensuring a summer filled with high-stakes, action-packed matches for esports enthusiasts to enjoy.

Here’s a quick look at the slot allocations for the MSC 2024 Wild Card stage:

  • China: 1
  • EECA: 1
  • Malaysia: 1
  • Mekong (Bhutan, Brunei, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam): 1
  • Mongolia: 1

The victorious team from the Wild Card stage will earn the opportunity to advance to the main event, where they will compete against the world’s best teams for a chance to claim a lion’s share of the staggering $3 million USD prize pool.

In addition to the Wild Card stage reveal, MOONTON Games has also announced the prize distribution for the MSC 2024 main event. The crowned champion will walk away with a record-breaking $1 million USD, setting a new benchmark in esports prize money.

Here’s how the prize money breaks down:

The MSC 2024, formerly known as the Southeast Asia Cup, has been unveiled by MOONTON Games as the inaugural event for the Summer 2024 Esports World Cup. With teams from 14 international regions and over 35 countries set to participate, this upcoming event promises to deliver fierce competition as participants vie not only for the record-breaking prize pool but also for the prestigious championship title.

Last year, ONIC Esports clinched the MSC 2023 championship title after a convincing 4-2 victory against Blacklist International in the grand finals. As MSC 2024 opens its doors to more regions outside Southeast Asia, it will be fascinating to see how the expanded international competition reshapes the MLBB esports scene. Will ONIC Esports be able to defend its title against a broader field of contenders? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more updates!
