Anger and anger at Bayern game
Kanes ankle “almost destroyed”, FCA is back against Schiri

A yellow-red card is angered by the Augsburgers at their first round of second half of the season against FC Bayern. Sports director Jurendic questions the video assistant after 1: 3. Bayern striker Harry Kane, however, complains with a “dangerous” foul with a thick bandaged ankle.

After the defeat outnumbered against FC Bayern Munich, the trouble of FC Augsburg once again discharged the referee. Sports director Marinko Jurendic asked a week after an unauthorized penalty, which had led to the equalization and loss of two points in the 1-1 in Hoffenheim, even the video evidence as a tool for more justice in professional football on Friday evening.

“Then we can also abolish the VAR,” said Jurendic annoyed with a view to the well-known yellow-red card for FCA defender Cédric Zesiger after almost an hour of play when it was 1-1. With one more man, Harry Kane immediately met and Leroy Sané for the Bundesliga table leader in added time.

Foul on Kane: “No yellow card”

“Ball played, no foul, no yellow card,” said Jurendic, like all other Augsburg protagonists, to the serious duel from Zesiger with Kane, in which the defender first played the ball during his grätsch and then hit Munich’s striker Hart on the ankle.

After the game, Kane ran through the catacombs with a thick ice pack on the foot. Zesiger “almost destroyed my ankle,” said the Englishman about the “dangerous” foul, but: “It’s a bit swollen, but I’m used to it. I’m not worried. It fits a bit, but it should be fine for Tuesday.” A tackling from behind in particular is always risky, added Kane.

FCA coach has to pull together

Meanwhile, Jurendic complained that the set of rules only allowed the video assistant to intervene on a red card. The already warned Zesiger saw the second yellow card in the scene. Jurendic urgently pleads for a correction of the VAR use, otherwise it makes no sense. The dismissal led to a completely different course of the game, “a film tear”. Immediately afterwards, the decisive goal for 1-2 fell.

FCA trainer Jess Thorup tried to master his trouble after the first round of second half of his team. “Now I have to be careful,” said the Dane: “I talked about the referee last week. I don’t always want to talk about the referee.” The situation was also clear to him: “He hits the ball 100 percent before, so it is not a yellow card for me.” And with it no yellow-red for zesiger.
