Air India Plane Crash Aaib Report: A month after the Ahmedabad aircraft accident, the initial investigation report has come to light on the reasons for the Dreamliner 787-8 flight crash of Air India. The investigation of the cause of this aircraft accident in Meghaninagar, Ahmedabad was entrusted to the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB). Now its preliminary report has come out. AAIB has pointed to many important things like disrupting fuel supply to the engine of the aircraft. However, the bureau has said that this report is initial and a detailed investigation of the accident is going on.

Fuel cutoff switch suddenly went into ‘Cutoff’ position from ‘Run’

AAIB has started its report with some basic information. The report states that the Air India aircraft was completely destroyed on 12 June. This caused severe damage to five buildings. The investigation found that the aircraft speed was normal at the time of takeoff. However, as the flight reached the speed of 180 knots, the fuel cutoff switches of the two engines suddenly moved from ‘Run’ to ‘Cutoff’ position. This stopped the fuel supply and both engines stopped.
