Tesla has to call back his cybertrucks. Company boss Musk is criticized by an investment advisor for his government work.
Cybertrucks from the Musk company Tesla are again called back. This time it is loose decorative strips that make up for buyers. The wide metal strips on the edge of the windscreen and over the doors are attached with adhesive material and can detach themselves. The concerns of investors about Musk’s leadership of the company are growing.
So far, 151 cybertruck drivers have reported the problem as a guarantee case, as can be seen from documents from the NHTSA traffic safety authority. However, Tesla is not known to accidents or injuries in connection with it.
Since all cybertrucks could potentially be affected, the recall campaign also announces that Tesla produced a total of almost 46,100 vehicles in the model from November 2023 to the end of February this year. Tesla boss Elon Musk previously promised to build up to 250,000 cybertrucks annually.
The decorative strips should now also be attached with the help of screw connections. Tesla also grabbed screwing when the decorative cover of the accelerator pedal replaced and threatened to tilting up. Overall, it is already the eighth recall campaign for cybertruck. However, part of it was solved by software update, such as the delayed transmission of images of the reversing camera.
The growing political protests against Tesla come to the technical problems, especially because of his boss Elon Musk. Many US citizens see his proximity to US President Donald Trump and his work on the Efficiency Department of Doge. Demonstrations in front of several dealers in the United States have been announced for March 29. In Canada, Tesla events at the International Auto Show have been canceled due to security concerns.
In the financial world, too, resentment is stimulated by Tesla and company boss Elon Musk. Dan Ives, head of the American investment company Wedbush and claims to be a major Tesla fan, sees Musk’s political activities critically. According to the British “Guardian”, his role as head of Doge would damage his reputation and reputation of Teslas.
Only a slight damage to the brand was seen, he wrote in a report to investors. “But in the past few weeks it has expanded to a crisis worldwide that we would call Tornado for Musk and Tesla,” wrote Ives to investors.
The investment specialist cited protests in Tesla showrooms, vandalism of cars and demonstrations around the world as a sign of a “massive threat to Tesla’s shares”. He said Musk was facing a “moment of truth” and had to act. His demand: “The investors want to see that Musk takes a step back and balanced his roles as Doge and Tesla CEO,” said Ives. He also advised Tesla to launch new, especially cheaper models.
Consumers are also increasingly turning away from Tesla. They indicate a record number of e-car customers. Tesla vehicles from model year 2017 made 1.4 percent of all vehicles exchanged by the dealer until March 15, as emerged from Edmunds statistics on Thursday. In March of the previous year, the value was 0.4 percent. Analysts assume that this proportion could increase in the second half of the month.
In February, the first full month of the Trump government, Teslas made 1.2 percent of the vehicles given in payment. The incorporation in March would be the highest monthly share of Tesla inserting for new or used car purchases, provided the trend continues.
