Incident at Aegean Airlines: An aircraft starts in Athens with broken tires. The plane landed in Munich under special safety precautions.
An Airbus A320-200n of the Greek airline Aegean Airlines had to be received by emergency services last Tuesday after the flight from Athens to Munich. The machine with the flight number A3-806 and 64 passengers as well as 7 crew members on board had apparently suffered tire damage at the start in Athens.
As can be seen from a report by the “The Aviation Herald”, the crew reported a mature mature when arriving in Munich. After the landing, the plane rolled off the slopes independently and was received there by numerous airport fire brigade vehicles.
According to the “The Aviation Herald”, a passenger later reported that a tire of the left main chassis had apparently been damaged at the start in Athens. Despite the damage, the crew continued the flight to Munich. Damage to the flaps and engine cladding were also found in a subsequent examination, reports “The Aviation Herald”.
Aegean Airlines had to use a replacement machine of the Airbus A320-200N for the return flight to Athens. Athens reached the flight with a delay of about four and a half hours.
