A 30 -year -old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a small van on federal road 20 in Lower Bavaria. According to a police spokesman, the biker had overtaken two vehicles towards Straubing at noon. In the meantime, the 61-year-old driver of the small van took his right of way when turning onto the main road. The “Mittelbayerische Zeitung” had initially reported.
According to the spokesman, the 61-year-old was initially also in the direction of Straubing and then wanted to turn at a confluence with the B20 near Traitsching (district of Cham). When he turned left onto the main road towards Cham, the overtaking 30-year-old crashed into his motorcycle against the left side of the van.
The 30-year-old died at the scene of the accident, as the spokesman said. Attempts to resuscinate were therefore unsuccessful. According to the speaker, the 61-year-old and his passenger came to the hospital with minor injuries.
