‘Fuel quality and take-off role had no abnormality’

He said in a message to the employees of Air India, ‘There was no abnormality in the quality of fuel and the take-off role. The pilots had passed the mandatory flight-pre-breedleizer test. No worrying things were revealed during his medical examination.

Preliminary report was released

Earlier, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau of Investigation (AAIB) on Saturday released its preliminary report on Air India’s Boeing 787-8 aircraft accident. On June 12, 260 people were killed in the accident. The aircraft flying from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick crashed immediately after flying.

‘Do not make any conclusions in a hurry’

Emphasizing that no reason has been given in the preliminary report nor any suggestion, Wilson appealed to everyone not to make any conclusions in a hurry, as the investigation is not yet complete. “We will continue to cooperate with the investigators to ensure that they have all the things required to conduct intensive and comprehensive investigation,” he said.

‘All necessary investigations are continuing’

In addition, Wilson said that every Boeing 787 aircraft included in our fleet under the supervision of the regulator DGCA were investigated within a few days of the accident and were found suitable for all services. He further said, ‘We are all continuing necessary investigations. We will also continue any new investigation by the officials.

What in AAIB report?

The AAIB report stated that the fuel supply of both engines of flight number AI 171 closed at an interval of one second, causing chaos in the cockpit and the aircraft began to lose its height soon after flying. The 15 -page report said that in the voice recording of the cockpit, an unknown pilot asked the other why he stopped fuel? This refused the other pilot. Meanwhile, the Commercial Pilot Association of India (ICPA) said the AI 171 flight crew worked in challenging circumstances as per their training and responsibilities in the last month. Pilots should not be maligned on the basis of estimates.
