The storms are back and today the orange alert is also back in Emilia-Romagna, but this time it will concern a different area than the one recently hit by the floods. In fact, attention is focused on the provinces of Parma and Piacenza and on the mountainous and hilly areas of the province of Reggio Emilia, while the alert is yellow for the rest of the region. For tomorrow, Thursday 17th, favorable conditions are forecast for the formation of particularly intense thunderstorms, more likely on the central-western Apennine belt and on the western plain.
Trains stopped and flights diverted, roads temporarily closed and students stuck in class
The focus is on landslides on the Apennine slopes, while it is expected that the hydrometric levels of the rivers in the plains may exceed threshold two, the one that triggers the first level of attention.
